Send error no Email association in default programs

I try and send a file or document to a email I made, and I Get a

No Email association in default programs
Open office Ver 4.1.2
Windows 10

You have to install an e-mail client, like Thunderbird, or set your associations to recognize the e-mail client you already have.
This is a Windows problem, not Open Office.
OpenOffice 4.1.4 and LibreOffice 5.2.7.2 on Windows 7 Pro & Ultimate

... by Start > Control Panel > Default Programs > Set your default Programs ... Now tell Windows which program you use for emailing.

If this solves the problem, please click the Edit button on your original post and edit the Title to [Solved].

If you are using Windows Mail or Windows Live mail or Gmail none of these will work. Use Thunderbird as suggested.

... or, save the document you are writing. Now start to write an email and attach the saved file to the email - various email clients do it differently - some have a paperclip you click, others go Insert > Attachment ..., or something similar. If you are still confused, check the Help in your email client.
